Tradition
Five tells us that each group has but one primary purpose,
to carry its message to the compulsive overeater who still
suffers. In the spirit of our primary purpose, welcome to Member/Group
Support.
Group
Support: Learn
how to strengthen your group and read about the successes of
other groups.
Program
Inspiration:
Support is our lifeline. It sustains us in our recovery through
the Steps, meetings, sponsors and literature,
and we in turn offer support to others through our service.
Our personal recovery stories remind
us that we are not alone. Through another's experience, strength
and hope, we can know recovery for ourselves. Ask-it
Basket is a place to ask your questions about recovery,
service and operations of OA as a whole. The Important
Dates page provides information about opportunities to
share recovery and Fellowship with others. Twelfth
Step Within gives suggestions for OA members
facing relapse and for ways groups can reach out to those still-suffering
within the Fellowship.
Doing
Service: We know that giving service is vital for our recovery.
It is one of the ways out of our disease. Call
to Action, PI Suggestions, Service
by Mail and the Twelve Concepts support
your commitment to service.
Make
a Contribution: Our financial contributions keep the World
Service Office (WSO) functioning and support OA activities
at the group and service body levels. Use the Make
a Contribution form to support OA beyond the Seventh Tradition
donation given at meetings. Financial contributions sustain
our primary purpose of carrying the message.
Service
Body
Support: Learn about OA's structure and
find information to guide intergroups in their service
work, including
sample
intergroup bylaws and OA guidelines on a variety of service
issues. A list of OA region Web sites is also on this page.
